Qualified/ Trainee Dispenser

Are you interested in a role in General Practice?

We are currently recruiting into our Dispensing team!

We will be holding a ‘Dispenser Recruitment Event’ on Wednesday 23rd July 2025  at Llanfyllin Medical Centre – this will be delivered in two sessions at 4pm & 5pm. There is no need to book in, simply turn up for either session!

Please come along, have a cup of tea and find out what it’s like to work at our practice! It’s most important to us that we get to know you and you get a feel for the practice and our team.

Working in general practice can be very challenging along with being rewarding. The role required a high level of patient and colleague interaction, applicants should be comfortable in dealing with people, staying calm under pressure and have the ability to remain professional in all their dealings.

Role Requirements:

  • Aged 18 years+
  • DBS check will be required which the practice will facilitate
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle and ability to move between sites
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Up to 37.5 per week worked over a Monday to Friday

We are a very well established GP practice working over 3 sites including our main site in Llanfyllin, our new purpose built site in Four Crosses and our branch surgery in Llanrhaeadr and we have an excellent management and clinical team in place. Our clinical team comprises of 5 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, a strong nursing team including ANPs, Specialist Nurses and an HCA team and full administrative support from our secretarial, reception, admin and dispensers. Our excellent team will support you within the workplace and ensure you are welcomed into the practice.

Role:

To act as an autonomous practitioner within your professional scope of practice providing care for patients via face-to-face consultations, telephone 
consultations,triage, and home visits. You will be able to demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision making and deliver expert care including history taking, assessment, diagnostic skills, treatment, and evaluation.

The post holder will be an experienced, professional, and caring person who can demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and be able to demonstrate critical thinking whilst working within their professional boundaries including independently prescribing appropriate medication and making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.

Urgent Care Practitioner

Up to 37.5 hours per week worked over a Monday to Friday

A great opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant rural GP practice as an Urgent Care Practitioner. The post holder will work as part of our clinical team as well as providing home visits to our patient population.

The post holder is a registered clinician with post graduate qualifications relevant to the position who acting within their professional boundaries and under the leadership of our GPs will provide a high standard of care to meet the needs of our patients.

We work from three purpose-built sites with our sites at Llanfyllin and Four Crosses being our main hubs of care and provide medical services to over 11,000 patients. Our exceptional team comprising of 7 partners and a highly skilled clinical and non-clinical team provide high quality general practice services to meet the needs of our patient population.   

We are a training practice at all levels from doctors to receptionists and have a large multidisciplinary team with a strong track record of developing services locally for our very supportive patients. 

Empowering our team members to develop their ideas and build on their clinical strengths is a priority for us as well as having new members of our team who respect the vital part that every member of the primary care team brings to effective patient care.
